Mgr. Jaroslav Farkaš

A psychology graduate from the Faculty of Arts at the University of Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Trnava (2010), Jaroslav is currently working in a private practice in Slovakia, helping his clients with personal growth and development. One of his long-standing interests has been to explore the advantageous use of psychedelics and altered states of consciousness for therapeutic and other personal growth benefits.

In addition to his general background in psychology, Jaroslav has had extensive training in biodynamic body psychotherapy (a body-oriented depth psychology approach). He also draws on a number of different approaches in his work with clients, including psychoanalysis, transpersonal psychology, post-modern constructivism, and neurobiology.

Jaroslav is one of the lecturers in the university course “Experimental psychopharmacology: Contemporary psychedelic research and psychedelic psychotherapy” at the 3rd Faculty of Medicine, Charles University, and is a member and co-founder of the Czech Psychedelic Society (CZEPS), where he was involved in management from 2016 to 2020.

His past experience includes work as a psychologist in a number of different types of family and children support facilities including orphanages, a support centre for professional families, and harm-reduction work in a drug treatment and care facility.
